Our International DLD Awareness Day campaign hit all the right notes!

Encompassing ten instructional videos, several Australian landmarks lit in purple and yellow, media interviews, and a classroom installation in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, Language Disorder Australia played an essential role in raising the profile of International DLD Awareness Day nationwide.

On 20 October, at King George Square, we removed the walls of a typical classroom to raise awareness of the hidden yet common disability, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), as part of International DLD Day. The classroom installation attracted attention, with several people enquiring and wanting to learn more about the condition.

Thank you to all the supporters who helped us to raise DLD awareness on this important date.
